The Yuki Office is situated in ‘Las Palmas’ the former workshop building of the legendary transatlantic ‘Holland America Line’, shipping between Rotterdam and New York.
The company offers entrepreneurs an online accounting platform that gives them insight into their business's performance at any time of day.
Combining the visual language of graphs with the location's history and the view of the undulating river, the overarching idea of "Swell" emerged; the sometimes unpredictable course of an enterprise has parallels with a long transatlantic voyage across the sea.
The walls include facilities such as lockers, wardrobes, printer units, phone booths and screens.
Half-height acoustic walls are separating the various departments creating a kind of coulisse landscape.
Large planters are placed on central locations, providing green ‘islands’ as alternative meeting places.
The largest version conceals a more intimate ‘secret garden’ for working alone or holding small informal meetings.
For the multifunctional meeting rooms we designed special desks that can turn the space into a training room
