The Playground is part of a large transformation project covering all hospitality zones within the central area of the Rabobank Headquarters in Utrecht.
For this assignment with a significant sustainability challenge we designed a broad range of spaces creating a careful mix of re-used and new elements.
Each area with it’s own identity but reflecting the Rabobank core values.

Bakery and Fun Forest
The former ‘bakery’ and ‘reading forest’ are transformed into a vibrant environment where movement and playfulness are stimulated.
The existing cylindrical meeting rooms have been re-cladded with specially designed visuals by Odilo Girod.
The graphics depict the core values of Rabobank in the themes of Food, Movement, and Climate.
In a time when attracting young talent is becoming increasingly important, the Playground demonstrates how the right environment can contribute to new forms of working and meeting.
There is a varied range of digital and offline activities, from chess and gaming on the Playstations to an indoor pétanque match.
